The prince posted six photos of himself and his wife at various scenic spots across the city on Wednesday, captioning the post: “Spring leave road trip.”

This latest getaway marks another trip to Italy for the royal couple, who previously celebrated their honeymoon in Tuscany and their first wedding anniversary in Florence.

At 34, Prince Mateen is a polo enthusiast who has represented Brunei in the 2017 and 2019 SEA Games. He was named one of Asia’s most eligible bachelors by Flavors magazine in 2016.

His wife, 31-year-old Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah, is an entrepreneur in the cultural tourism sector and a graduate of the University of Bath in the U.K.

She has strong ties to Brunei’s royal family—her grandfather Pehin Dato Isa served as a government advisor in the 1960s and 1970s, while her brother Danial Deen Isa-Kalebic is a close friend of Prince Mateen.

Meanwhile, her sister-in-law Janetira Attaskulchai Deen is connected to Thailand’s Attaskulchai family, known for the Betagen yogurt brand.

The royal couple’s wedding in Jan. 2024, which lasted 10 days in Bandar Seri Begawan, was a grand affair attended by around 5,000 guests, including international dignitaries.
