Patna On Tuesday, the Congress launched a massive public outreach campaign under the title ‘Save the Constitution’ in anticipation of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.

Rajesh Kumar Ram, the president of the state Congress, led a large-scale march in Patna to show the party’s adherence to constitutional principles and to make its presence known inside the Mahagathbandhan coalition.

Many Congress workers and officials participated in the march, which started from Sadaqat Ashram, the Congress headquarters, and went to Bas Ghat along the Ashok Rajpath.

Rajesh Kumar Ram said, “We want to protect the Constitution and put an end to those who are attempting to violate it.”

The Congress Legislative Council leader in Bihar, Madan Mohan Jha, echoed the sentiment, saying, “The idea behind this march is to connect with the people of Bihar and spread awareness about constitutional values.”

March participants yelled pro-Constitution chants while carrying a big tricolor and Congress flags.

During the event, the BJP was the primary object of criticism, especially on the Waqf Act.

In addition to being a public mobilization attempt, political analysts see this march as a strategic signal inside the Mahagathbandhan coalition, maybe intended to give the Congress more negotiating leverage for a larger portion of seats in the next elections.

It is also seen as a subliminal message to Tejashwi Yadav, the head of the RJD and the alliance’s spokesperson. Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the RJD, has not been named by the Congress upper leadership as the candidate for chief minister in the Bihar Assembly election.

Congress leaders like Krishna Allavaru, who is in control of the state, have already said that the results of the vote would determine the CM’s face.

After Kanhaiya Kumar, the party leader, participated in the “Palayan Roko, Naukri Do Yatra” previously, which attracted crowds across Bihar and focused on young migration and unemployment, this is part of a larger campaign plan by the Congress.
