Key Terror Targets Hit Under Operation Sindoor:

1. Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur (Pakistan)
Operational since 2015, this 15-acre facility is the main headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), used for training and radicalization. It was directly linked to the Pulwama attack of February 14, 2019, and houses senior JeM leaders including Maulana Masood Azhar, Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar, and Maulana Ammar. The site is known for arms, religious, and physical training of cadres, and for propagating anti-India jihadist rhetoric.

2. Markaz Taiba, Muridke (Pakistan)
Located in Nangal Sahdan, this is the principal training facility of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Established in 2000, it has hosted over 1,000 trainees annually. Funded in part by Osama bin Laden, it includes mosques and training centers. The 26/11 Mumbai attackers, including Ajmal Kasab, were trained here. The site also received visits from key 26/11 conspirators David Headley, Tahawwur Rana, and others.

3. Sarjal/Tehra Kalan Launching Facility (Narowal, Pakistan)
A JeM facility used for terrorist infiltration into Jammu & Kashmir, operated covertly from a Primary Health Centre (PHC). Located just 6 km from the International Border in Samba sector, it’s also used for digging cross-border tunnels and launching drones to smuggle arms and narcotics into Indian territory.

4. Mehmoona Joya Facility, Sialkot (Pakistan)
Run by Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) from the premises of a government school, this site facilitates infiltration and weapon training of HM cadres into the Jammu region. The facility is overseen by HM commander Mohd. Irfan Khan alias Irfan Tanda, and regularly hosts 20–25 active terrorists.

5. Markaz Ahle Hadith Barnala, Bhimber (PoJK)
A strategic LeT center near Barnala town used for infiltrating terrorists and smuggling arms into the Poonch-Rajouri-Reasi sector. Capable of housing 100–150 terrorists, the camp is operated by LeT leaders including Qasim Gujjar, Qasim Khanda, and Anas Jarar.

6. Markaz Abbas, Kotli (PoJK)
An important JeM stronghold headed by Hafiz Abdul Shakoor alias Qari Zarrar, a close aide of Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar. The site can accommodate 100–125 cadres and plays a pivotal role in planning infiltration and terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

7. Maskar Raheel Shahid, Kotli (PoJK)
One of HM’s oldest and most active camps, capable of training 150–200 terrorists. Apart from standard arms and physical drills, the camp offers specialized sniper, BAT (Border Action Team), and survival training for operations in hilly terrain.

8. Shawai Nallah Camp, Muzaffarabad (PoJK)
Also known as Bait-ul-Mujahideen, this LeT camp is a recruitment and training hub. Linked to the 26/11 attackers, it offers Daura-e-Aam training, involving religious indoctrination and arms handling. Pakistani ISI and Army reportedly provide weapons training at this facility, which accommodates 200–250 cadres and acts as a launch base for North Kashmir infiltrations.

9. Markaz Syedna Bilal, Muzaffarabad (PoJK)
A key JeM camp opposite the Red Fort in Muzaffarabad, used as a transit facility for infiltration into J&K. At any given time, it houses 50–100 JeM cadres. The facility is led by Mufti Asghar Khan Kashmiri, with Indian fugitive Aashiq Nengroo also operating from here. Pak Army’s SSG commandos are known to provide advanced combat training to cadres at this site.
