Robert Lewandowski’s comeback gives Barcelona an offensive boost ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League second leg against Inter Milan.

After missing almost two weeks due to an injury to his left thigh, Lewandowski was added to the squad on Monday. Last week’s exciting first leg against Inter in Barcelona, in which the clubs tied 3-3, was one of the four games the striker missed.

On April 19, the Polish striker suffered an injury while playing for Celta Vigo in the Spanish league. “He has been cleared to return to action after two weeks of working on his recuperation and training with the squad on Sunday,” Barcelona said.

The 36-year-old Lewandowski is enjoying one of his greatest seasons with Barcelona, scoring 40 goals overall, 11 of which have come in the Champions League. With 25 goals, he leads the Spanish league, one more than Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid. Barcelona won 2-1 against Valladolid on Saturday, resting almost all of their usual players.
