Resident Playbook continue to be the most loved weekend drama on OTT. The story features the lives of residents at Jongro Yulje Hospital, their intricate stories weaved through comedy, romance, and emotions.

Among the lead cast is Jung Joon Won, as Go Youn Jung‘s character’s love interest. Jung Joon Won portrayed Gu Do Won, a chief doctor working at the OB-GYN.

Go Youn Jung in the garb of Oh Yi Young was caught in a love triangle with Gu Do Won and a worker working at the hospital. This became a topic of discussion on X with a comment, “no Korean girl would want to be in such a love triangle FR”.

The post crossed 12 million views on X, with many completely in agreement to the statement, seeking the unfavorable visuals of the male actor.

A comment read, “It’s not that I hate ugly actors, but I f*cking can’t stand to see ugly actors stick to pretty actresses and act out a romance.”

While many identified them to be “realistic.” “Even real doctors who reviewed the series said that their faces look like they’d be found in a hospital IRL LOL. F*ck.” Another added, “Their faces are so close to reality.”

Some viewers admitted that they have stopped watching the show because of the male visuals, “I love Go Youn Jung, but I can’t watch it because the ML’s face is too ugly.”

The drama’s production team has not yet delivered any statement on the hate wave against Jung Joon Won.
