Hydrogen -driven truck ran on the streets for the first time in the country

Raipur. India has taken another major step towards green energy and put the country’s first hydrogen fuel -powered cargo cargo truck on the streets. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai flagged off this truck in the capital Raipur. This historical step will not only lead India’s transport sector towards clean energy, but will also help in reducing carbon emissions in industrial areas.

Hydrogen fuel cell has been used in this truck. It has been developed under the supervision of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Adani Natural Resources.

Chief Minister Sai said that this truck is not only revolutionary from a technical point of view, but it will be helpful in achieving environmental goals of the whole of India including Chhattisgarh. He said that the state government will promote every such innovation to green energy and in the coming time, such trucks will be used on a large scale in the industrial areas of the state.

According to experts, this truck can cover a distance of up to 200 kilometers and has a capacity to carry goods up to 40 tonnes. This will not only reduce air pollution, but will also significantly reduce energy consumption in the logistics sector.

This initiative is considered a major step towards ‘clean and green transport’. Adani Enterprises described it as a milestone for India’s energy future. Along with this, this project is also being appreciated internationally, and it is a strong effort towards establishing India as a leading nation in Green Hydrogen Technology.
