Patna, 14 June. A blood donation camp was organized at IAS Bhawan on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day on 14 June in Patna, the capital of Bihar.
Several senior officials including Chief Secretary Amritlal Meena and Director General of Police Vinay Kumar were present in the program. People enthusiastically participated in this camp organized under the joint aegis of IAS, IPS and IFS organizations.
Chief Secretary Amritlal Meena said that this blood donation camp is being organized continuously for the last five years. During this time 750 people donated blood, which helped more than 900 people to treat. This time the camp is aimed at donating blood from 150 people.
He said, “People are getting enthusiasm and enthusiasm among people. I thank the manager and all the organizers of ‘Maa Blood Bank’. This is a big effort to serve humanity.”
He also informed that in view of the increasing participation, now there is a need to improve the infrastructure, which the committee is considering.
Director General of Police Vinay Kumar described the event as a sacred work of serving humanity.
He said, “This time there is a large number of participation of officers and employees of all services. I hope that this time there will be more blood donation than previous years. Every year the number of people in this event is increasing, which is a positive sign.”
He greeted the success of the event and said that this effort is inspiring for the society.
The people involved in the camp were taking part in the camp, understanding the importance of blood donation. In this program organized in collaboration with Maa Blood Bank, the process of health check -up and blood donation was done smoothly. The organizers said that blood donation not only saves the lives of needy patients, but it is also a symbol of social solidarity.
