Nowadays, having WiFi in the house is as important as electricity and water. No work can be done without it. Whether it is office or personal, all work cannot be done without the internet these days. But what if suddenly the speed of your WiFi starts slowing down and your work gets stuck? Have your neighbors stolen your password? Are you a target of hackers? If you feel so, then immediately do a reminder in your phone. After this, not only neighbors but even hackers will not be able to find out.

1. Make a very strong password

The first and most important thing is a strong password. Stop keeping passwords like "123456" or your name and mobile number. (Strong and Complex Passwords) because everyone can guess it, and many reports also say that these are weak passwords. A strong password should have small and big letters (aA, bB), numbers (1,2,3), and special characters (@, #, $). Keep changing it every 2-3 months.

2. Hide the name (SSID) of your WiFi

When you search for WiFi, you see many names. You can hide the name of your WiFi. This is called "Hide SSID" or turning off "SSID Broadcast". This will make your WiFi network invisible to anyone. Anyone who wants to connect will have to manually enter their name and password. You will find this setting in the settings of your router.

3. Turn on WPA3 security

This is the latest and strongest standard of WiFi security. It is almost impossible to hack it compared to the old WPA2. Go to the settings of your router and see if there is an option for WPA3. If there is, then turn it on immediately.

4. Create a guest network
If a guest comes to your house and asks for WiFi, never give them your main password. Instead, create a "Guest Network". This is a separate network with limited speed and access. This will allow your guests to surf the Internet, but will not be able to access your main network and the devices connected to it.

5. Use MAC address filtering
This is a little advanced, but the safest method. Every device (phone, laptop) has a unique MAC address. You can register the MAC address of only your devices in your router. After this, only those devices will connect to your router that you have allowed, even if someone has your password.
