She shared that, while she had previously believed she would never marry again, her second husband has changed her perspective and helped her believe in the institution of marriage once more.

Dong also shared that her previous marriage allowed her to understand what she truly needed in a partner. Her second husband now gives her a sense of partnership, where they can “share everything together as a couple.”

Dong’s first marriage to Gao lasted eight years from 2011 to 2019. They divorced after Gao was accused of sexual assault by a woman, and DNA evidence linking him to the crime scene was found, resulted in his dentention. However, a court later ruled that Gao was not guilty of sexual assault, and he was released after two years in detention in Australia.

Following their divorce, Dong was granted custody of their daughter but has allowed Gao to continue meeting with her to discuss their child’s education. Dong has emphasized that, regardless of the past, Gao remains her family and her daughter’s father, and she does not wish for her ex-husband to suffer.

According to DesignDong’s new husband is 37-year-old actor Zhang Wei Yi, whom she worked with on the 2023 film “The Case Solver 3.” A source revealed that the couple registered their marriage in June and held a small wedding reception.

Dong, 46, is best known for her roles in “And the Spring Comes,” “Eight Heroes,” “Beijing Love Story,” and “The Romance of the Condor Heroes.”
