In a year packed with superstar flops and formula fatigue a film with zero household names just stormed the box office. Saiyaara featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has done what few expected: it opened to Rs 19.6 crore on Day 1 bigger than most big-banner releases of the year.
Saiyaara Box Office collection day 2 prediction
After a massive opening Saiyaara is expected to continue its strong momentum at the box office on Day 2. With good word-of-mouth and a weekend advantage the film may earn around Rs 15–17 crore today the first Saturday. India.com expects the movie to cross Rs 35 crore after seeing the majority of seats booked on Book My Show. We are also waiting for sacnilk.com’s report.
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani Saiyaara is a romantic drama starring two fresh faces. The film had generated steady buzz through its music and trailer but no one predicted this level of mania at the ticket counters.
Saiyaara’s opening day collection
According to Sacnilk’s report Saiyaara pulled in Rs 19.6 crore on its first day — the biggest opening ever for a Hindi film with debut leads. That’s more than:
Sitaare Zameen Par (Aamir Khan) – Rs 10.7 crore
Sky Force (Akshay Kumar) – Rs 12.25 crore
Even Dhadak (Janhvi Kapoor & Ishaan Khatter) – Rs 8.76 crore
It also recorded 44.33% Hindi occupancy on Friday — a huge number for any non-action or non-franchise film.
Many directors and producers have also praised Saiyaara. One among them is Madhur Bhandarkar when he took to X and wrote “Saiyaara has shattered every myth about launching newcomers: no big names no big PR just raw talent and fearless storytelling. In an industry obsessed with stars Saiyaara proved that audiences are ready for the unpredictable. A bold reminder. It’s not about who you know. It’s about what you bring. Exciting times for Hindi cinema.”
