Weather condition in Delhi-NCR
For the last few days, Delhi-NCR has been witnessing a mixed weather of sunshine and rain. The weather remains cool due to rain in the morning, but the strong sunshine in the afternoon increases the trouble. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in some areas of Delhi-NCR on July 20. This trend may continue for the next few days.
Rain alert in UP and Bihar
Rain havoc continues in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. There is a possibility of rain today in districts like Banda, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Kanpur, Etawah, Auraiya, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Etah, Mainpuri, Hathras, Aligarh, Agra, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Shamli and Meerut in UP. Rain is also expected in Aurangabad, Gaya, Jamui, Rohtas, Kaimur, Patna, Nawada, Kishanganj, Araria, West Champaran and East Champaran in Bihar, along with this, there is also a possibility of lightning in some areas.
Effect of rain in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan
Due to heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, rivers and streams are overflowing. There is a possibility of rain in Bhopal, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Ujjain, Raisen, Sehore, Betul, Narmadapuram, Burhanpur, Harda, Khandwa, Khargone, Jhabua, Dhar, Barwani, Alirajpur, Sagar, Indore, Dewas, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Shajapur, Agar, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Sheopur, Bhind, Datia and Morena. Many districts in Rajasthan are also facing problems due to rain, but the Meteorological Department has expressed hope of relief in some areas soon.
Heavy rain alert in Himachal and Uttarakhand
Rain has wreaked havoc in Himachal Pradesh, where incidents of landslides and flash floods have been reported. Rain is expected in many districts today and a yellow alert has been issued. This situation may persist till July 22. In Uttarakhand, a red alert has been issued for Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Pauri, while a yellow alert has been issued for Dehradun, Tehri, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. Light rain is expected in Haridwar, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Almora. People have been appealed to remain alert.
