IL Against Raj Thackeray in Supreme Court:
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray can now get into trouble as action can now be taken on his controversial statement and violence of his workers.

This is because a PIL has now been filed against Raj Thackeray in the Supreme Court. This petition has been filed by advocate Ghanshyam Upadhyay. The petition has demanded a directive to file a case against Raj Thackeray and his party workers.

Petitioner Ghanshyam Upadhyay said that earlier he had sent a complaint to the authorities against the attacks on non-Marathi citizens on the issue of Hindi language, but no action was taken. Upadhyay says that despite complaining to the authorities several times, no FIR was lodged against Raj Thackeray and his party workers, due to which they had to knock the court.

The petition alleged thatRaj Thackeray Has tried to justify the attacks on non-Marathi citizens in the name of Marathi language. The petition cited a victory rally organized on July 5 by Raj Thackeray, his cousin and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray and claimed that Raj Thackeray justified the beating of those who did not speak Marathi.

The petitioner has claimed in his petition that Raj Thackeray has raised the issue of Marathi language for political gains, so that it can be taken advantage of in the upcoming BMC elections.
