Recently, a new research has revealed that mind diet not only gives relief in problems to heart and blood pressure, but is also very effective in keeping the brain healthy. For high blood pressure patients, this diet is not less than a boon, as it can also reduce the risk of serious diseases like dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Scientists at the UK -based Cardiff Metropolitan University conducted a study based on the mind diet, which found that this diet not only helps in controlling blood pressure, but also protects the neurons for a long time.
Mind diet is actually a mixture of Mediterranean Diet and Dash Diet. This diet is designed to keep the brain healthy especially and reduce cognitive decline. This diet includes fruits, green leafy vegetables, nuts, beans, whole grains, lean proteins (such as fish and chicken), and low -fat dairy products. At the same time, emphasis is on maintaining distance from red meat and processed foods.
Scientists Aining Pigat and Sophie Davis said that studies conducted on Mind Diet prove the benefits of this diet with strong evidence. In a study, diet habits of 906 elderly participants were analyzed. They were given a mind diet score based on the number of foods protecting them from dementia. The study found that the speed of declining the cognitive capacity was very slow. The study was conducted for about five years.
Another study included 581 participants, who followed the mind diet or meditrarenian diet for 10 years. The brain scans of these people received very few indications of AMLZHEIMER’s Plas. Significantly, these strips are a major sign of Alzheimer’s disease.
Research also revealed that the role of green leafy vegetables in the mind diet was the most important. Not only this, a review of 13 different studies based on mind diet found that those who regularly follow this diet, their memory and thinking ability remains better. A study included in the command also claimed that the risk of Alzheimer was found to be lower in those who followed the mind diet.
