Lucknow. A new chapter has started in Uttar Pradesh regarding the health and nutrition of women and children. The state government has taken a big step in the interest of Anganwadi workers. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that smartphones will be distributed to Anganwadi workers of the state and their honorarium will also be increased. This step will not only technically empower their work, but will also give a new dimension to their honor and self -reliance.

Anganwadi sisters will get respect

Chief Minister Yogi clarified that the government is giving full respect to the hard work and service of Anganwadi sisters. Getting a smartphone will make it easier for them to report reporting, keep health records and broadcast information about government schemes. Also, the increase in honorarium will improve their economic condition. It is a commendable step that strengthens women empowerment at the ground level.

Health camps started across the state

Taking a major initiative in the field of health and nutrition, more than 20,000 health camps are being organized in 75 districts of the state. The health of women and children will be investigated free of cost in these camps, including blood pressure, diabetes, breast cancer, cervical cancer, anemia and testing of serious diseases. Pregnant women prenatal care and vaccination of children are also being promoted through camps.

Nutrition programs

During the program, the nutrition campaign was also given cultural form by adding traditional customs like Annaprashan of Children and Godbhoos of pregnant women. This will increase awareness among the people as well as emotional engagement. The distribution of nutrition ensures that needy women and children get adequate nutrition.

Anganwadi centers will get buildings

As part of another important announcement, the Chief Minister said that buildings vacated from the merger of schools will be used as buildings of Anganwadi centers. This will allow Anganwadi services to be operated in better place and children will get a favorable environment. This is a visionary step to strengthen the nutrition mission.
