In a recent interview on City 1016a Dubai-based radio station, Faisal opened up about his personal life, shedding light on his relationship with Indian actress Dimple Kapadia. The revelation came as a pleasant surprise to fans, who were unaware of the close family ties between the two.
Speaking candidly about Dimple Kapadia, Faisal shared that she is actually his niece. “Dimple Kapadia is my niece by relation. Her father, the late Chunnibhai Kapadia, was my cousin,” Faisal explained during the podcast. He recalled how Dimple’s father had visited Pakistan in 1984 for a family wedding, where he made a promise to Faisal. “Chunnibhai came to Karachi for our cousin’s wedding, and I performed there. He promised me that he would take me to Bollywood one day,” Faisal reminisced.
However, life had other plans, and Dimple’s father sadly passed away before he could fulfill that promise. Despite the loss, Faisal’s Bollywood dreams didn’t fade. He went on to make his mark in the Indian film industry, singing tracks like This is my story and Spider-Manwhich introduced him to a new audience.
In the same interview, Faisal also delighted fans by performing a monologue from one of his popular songs, giving listeners a special glimpse into his musical artistry.
