Brits could soon enjoy some warmer weather in November after a period of more unsettled conditions.

UK weather maps show the date in November when temperatures could pick up despite winter being just around the corner. A weather forecast from Netweather shows the mercury reaching as high as 17C in one region of England on Wednesday, November 5.

Maps show London reaching 17C while much of the south east enjoys temperatures of between 15C and 16C.

The Midlands, Cornwall and Devon will see average temperatures of between 13C and 14C, the maps show.

Further north, temperatures should also hover between 13C and 15C while Scotland sees cooler conditions.

The south of Scotland will see highs of 13C, the maps suggest, while the Scottish Highlands will see lows of 7C in some areas.

In Northern Ireland, temperatures of between 10C and 11C are expected, while Wales is slightly warmer at 13C-14C.

The Met Office's forecast for next week predicts unsettled weather with rain on Monday and Tuesday. This will be followed by strong winds in the west.

Looking forward to the period of November 5 - November 14, the Met Office forecasts that changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue.

The forecast adds: "This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west.

"Equally there should also be some drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east.

"A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible later in the period making drier interludes more common. Above average temperatures are most likely, with a reduced incidence of overnight frost and fog, compared to normal, especially at first."
