Famous Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat has addressed ongoing speculation about her age and career span. She said people often assume she has been working in the entertainment industry for two decades, but in reality, it has only been around 14 to 15 years.

Speaking in an interview on Sunday Times, Mehwish said she understands why people think she has been around for so long. Her early success and memorable roles made her name instantly recognizable, giving the impression of a longer career.

The actress began her journey in showbiz as a child artist, appearing in commercials when she was just eight years old. Over time, she transitioned into leading roles and became one of Pakistan’s most popular and respected stars.

Mehwish has proven her versatility with strong performances in both dramas and films, earning praise for being bold, confident, and unapologetically herself. After taking a seven-year break from television, she made a powerful comeback with her drama Dayan.

Her career also expanded internationally when she appeared as Ayesha in Marvel’s series “Ms. Marvel”, where she won global attention for her performance.

The actress emphasized that she is proud of her journey and grateful for the love she has received. She added that public perception of her age and career length doesn’t bother her, as her focus remains on meaningful work and continuous growth in her craft.
