According to Sinchewearlier this month the couple’s daughter Romee celebrated her fourth birthday at Shanghai Disneyland. Photos shared online showed her in multiple designer outfits, posing alongside her mother in a fairy-tale setting. Observers quickly noticed the girl carrying a miniature heart-shaped Chanel handbag thought to cost HK$17,000–$34,000 (US$2,188–$4,376).
Many Weibo users commented on the child’s lavish lifestyle, noting her father’s business success and her mother’s status as one of China’s top supermodels.
Born Xi Mengyao, Xi, 36, began her modeling career in 2009 after winning a televised contest. She has since worked with international fashion houses including Victoria’s Secret and Givenchy.
Ho, 30, has a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the son of Stanley Ho, the Hong Kong-born casino tycoon who founded and managed SJM Holdings, which runs 19 casinos in Macau, including the Grand Lisboa.
The billionaire, who had four wives and 17 children, passed away in 2020.
Romee is frequently praised for her fashion sense, reflecting her parents’ careful attention. She is often dressed in Dior Baby, Burberry Kids, Gucci, and Moncler Enfant clothes and carries designer handbags.
Last year Xi gave her a Hermès Micro Picotin 14 in cream, while she bought herself a matching Hermès Picotin 18 in white, which cost HK$27,000–29,000. She also purchased for Romee a pink Gucci heart-shaped hair clip worth HK$3,100 and a Chanel Fall/Winter 2021 mini bag priced at approximately 18,000 yuan (US$2,528), alongside 13 custom-embroidered bibs bearing Romee’s name, each costing around 200 yuan.
But the couple’s devotion goes beyond material indulgence; they also emphasize emotional care, choosing to spend meaningful time with their children rather than leaving them solely in the hands of nannies.
Ho frequently shares videos on Xiaohongshu, Douyin and television programs showing him carrying or strolling with his kids. On one variety show, he said: “I hope to spend more time with my children and be a father who’s truly present.”
Like her husband, Xi actively participates in their children’s play and learning, and the family often holds small celebrations and outings for special occasions.
For their six-year-old son Ronaldo, the couple follow a more disciplined approach.

Xi revealed that when he was one to two, she set “daily goal quotas,” which included targets such as staying quiet during naps, eating without fuss and refraining from fighting with or bullying classmates. The couple have also enrolled him in extracurricular activities and take him to domestic and international basketball games.
To safeguard their children’s privacy, the socialite couple, who married in 2019, carefully control public appearances and have issued legal warnings to individuals attempting to photograph their children without consent.
In recent years the Ho family have been residing in mainland China for high-quality education and healthcare. They currently live in a duplex apartment in one of Shanghai’s most exclusive neighborhoods, with each residence valued at over 100 million yuan and offering a 270-degree river view.
According to a 2024 Bloomberg report, the family’s net worth is estimated at US$13 billion.
Mario has built his own career by founding NIP Group, an esports company, in 2018. The company listed on Nasdaq on July 26, 2024, the first Chinese esports firm to go public, according to the South China Morning Post. On the same day Nasdaq vice chairman Bob McCooey commended Mario as the youngest founder of a Nasdaq-listed company in Asia.
Business Insider reports that Mario owns a 13.6% stake in the company and controls 36.6% of its voting rights.”
