Decision to establish 100 new Sainik Schools

"Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the central government has decided to establish 100 new Sainik Schools across the country under the PPP model. Of these, the Motibhai Chaudhary Sainik School will certainly become a symbol of pride for Mehsana," the release quoted Amit Shah as saying.

He said that the Sagar Organic Plant is crucial to ensuring the availability of reliable organic products under the Amul brand across the country and the world, and to ensure fair returns to all farmers engaged in organic farming. Amit Shah said that the plant, with a daily capacity of approximately 30 metric tonnes, is certified under the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).

Benefits to farmers engaged in natural farming

With APEDA certification, farmers engaged in natural farming in North Gujarat will benefit greatly as their produce will have access to global markets. The Union Minister of Cooperation stated that the expansion of this organic plant will not only improve the health of citizens across the country but will also increase the income of farmers involved in organic farming. He urged all farmers engaged in organic farming and their families to use organic products to stay healthy.

Amit Shah said that in 1960, Dudhsagar Dairy collected 3,300 liters of milk per day, which has now increased to 3.5 million liters per day. The dairy is connected to cattle farmers from 1,250 villages in Gujarat and more than 1 million milk producing groups in Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.

Formation of new primary dairy cooperative societies

He said its turnover has reached ₹8,000 crore. With eight modern dairies, two milk chilling centers, two animal feed plants, and a cement production unit, Dudhsagar Dairy today plays a key role in Gujarat's White Revolution. Shah said several initiatives have been taken to promote the dairy's circular economy, including the formation of 75,000 new primary dairy cooperatives across the country.

Women contribute 70 percent of Amul's business

He said that 70 percent of Amul's business comes from women's contributions. Amit Shah, in the presence of the Chief Minister, noted that Gujarat experienced heavy unseasonal rains this year. The Bhupendra Patel government has announced a generous relief package to help affected farmers. The Gujarat government has pledged to ensure its continued support to farmers.
