As the Bihar election results become clear, farmers' hopes are growing. In early trends, the NDA is maintaining a lead, and the BJP appears to be winning over 90 seats. This atmosphere has sparked renewed hope among farmers.

If the NDA forms the government again in Bihar, farmers' income could increase. Currently, farmers receive 6,000 rupees under the PM Kisan Yojana. Once the NDA forms the government in Bihar, this amount could increase from 6,000 rupees to 9,000 rupees.

This prospect has brought relief to farmers, as this will directly increase their annual income. Under the PM Kisan Yojana, the central government sends 2,000 rupees to farmers three times a year, totaling 6,000 rupees.

This money is deposited directly into their bank accounts. Now the question is how this amount will be increased for Bihar's farmers. Let me tell you, in fact, during the election campaign, the NDA clearly stated in its manifesto that, in addition to the existing ₹6,000, farmers would receive an additional ₹3,000. This means a total annual benefit of ₹9,000.

If this happens, farmers could receive an extra ₹1,000 in each installment. The NDA manifesto has named this increased amount the Karpoori Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under this, the state government will add ₹1,000 each to the three central government installments.

This means that each installment will be ₹3,000, not ₹2,000. This amount will be transferred directly to farmers' accounts. Approximately 7.3 million farmers in Bihar are enrolled in the PM Kisan Yojana. If this promise is implemented, these farmers will benefit directly.

At present, it is unclear whether farmers will have to submit a separate application to receive the extra ₹3,000. It's possible that farmers already receiving benefits could be automatically included in this scheme. However, the situation will only become clearer once the government is formed.
