Major design and feature upgrades

The 2026 Kia Seltos will receive significant design changes adopting Kia’s latest ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. A more modern, strong stance with sharp lines and a new interior equipped with advanced technological features is expected. One of the major highlights could be the Trinity Panoramic Display.

Engine options and hybrid powertrain

Current Engine Lineup – Which includes 115 bhp 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol, 160 bhp 1.5 liter turbo petrol and 116 bhp 1.5 liter diesel – to be continued, Kia is also preparing to introduce a hybrid variant. The petrol-hybrid system with a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated engine is expected to be launched globally, possibly in 2027, before coming to India.

Transmission and drivetrain improvements

Transmission options will mostly be carried over from the existing model. A new 7-speed automatic gearbox may also be included for the diesel engine variants. Although a front-wheel-drive e-automatic system may be available globally, it is likely not to be included in the India-spec model.
