In this, people were fed 150 grams of spinach daily. This kept his high BP under control. Dr. Neeraj explains that spinach is a leafy greens which contains a good amount of a plant-based compound called nitrate, which can reduce high BP. It also contains antioxidants, potassium, calcium and magnesium in abundance, which can be beneficial for heart health.
