In a major turn of events, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Friday, revealed an Indian team full of stars for the forthcoming u19 Asia Cup. Ayush Mhatre, the opener of Chennai Super Kings, has been chosen as the Indian captain, while other players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Vihaan Malhotra have also been brought in.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi included in team India’s Asia Cup U-19 squad
The young batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who recently made a mark with the bat for India in the Asia Cup Rising Stars, is going to be a part of the u19 Asia Cup for the second time. The left-hander has been a run machine, scoring at will in junior cricket as well as for the India-A team in recent times.
Vaibhav and Mhatre are the players whose names ring the loudest in the team. They are the two big names of the future, and both of them were the brightest players in the IPL. The future stars of the Indian cricket team, Vaibhav and Mhatre, have been retained by the Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, respectively, for the IPL 2026.
India’s cricket board has created a strong team of the most gifted youngsters of the moment, who are already dreaming of becoming the international stars of the future. There are four standby players in the squad – Rahul Kumar, Hemchudeshan J, B.K. Kishore, and Aditya Rawat – who ensure that the team is provided with sufficient depth and backup options.
Nevertheless, the BCCI has not given the Rajasthan Royals player any leadership position. Mhatre, in fact, has that remarkably talented batsman, Vihaan Malhotra, as his deputy.
