Desk. Salman Khan’s lawyer told the court that his client has been unnecessarily harassed in the Pan Masala advertising case. The lawyer on behalf of Salman Khan has given clarification regarding this matter in the court. The lawyer says that the actor has not advertised pan masala. Instead of this, Salman has added cardamom.

Advocate Ashish Dubey reiterated in the court that Salman Khan did not advertise gutkha or pan masala. Instead it advertised silver-coated cardamom. There is one thing which does not come in the pan masala category. The lawyer further said that this weakens the foundation of the complaint against Salman Khan.

Advocate Ashish Dubey, appearing for Salman Khan, also said that the Consumer Commission does not have the authority to take action on the complaint. The lawyer clarified that the actor is neither a pan masala maker nor a service provider. In such a situation, including them in this case is legally wrong.

A complaint was filed a few weeks ago against Salman Khan for advertising Pan Masala. Kota BJP leader and lawyer Inder Mohan Singh Honey had made serious allegations while filing the complaint. The complaint said that Salman Khan and the Pan Masala company are misleading the public because it is not possible to use real saffron in a Rs 5 sachet. The next hearing in this case will be held in Kota Consumer Court on December 9.
