Desk. TRAI has released the subscriber data for the month of October. Jio and Airtel have once again added a large number of new subscribers to their networks. At the same time, in October, the number of telephone users in the entire country has increased to 123.1 crore. Of these, the number of mobile users is 118.4 crore and the number of wireline users is around 4.6 crore. An increase of 0.19% has been recorded in the number of mobile users.
Reliance Jio has once again left everyone behind in terms of adding users. In October, the country’s largest telecom company has added about 19.97 lakh new users to its network. The number of Jio mobile users has now increased to 48.47 crore. Apart from Jio, Airtel has also added a large number of new users to its network.
Airtel added 12.52 lakh new subscribers in October. The total number of Airtel users has increased rapidly to 39.36 crore. Airtel had 39.24 crore users in September. Airtel continues to be the second largest telecom company after Jio.
Talking about government telecom company BSNL, once again Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has added a large number of new users to its network. The number of new users of BSNL has increased by 2.69 lakh in October. BSNL now has 9.25 crore mobile users. The company has recently launched 4G service, due to which the number of users is continuously increasing.
Vi has once again failed to protect its users. The number of Vodafone-Idea users is continuously decreasing. Vodafone-Idea has lost 20.83 lakh users in October, due to which the number of users of the company has come down to 20.07 crore. The company had 20.28 crore users in September.
