Florida rapper POORSTACY, born Carlito Milfort, died on Saturday, November 29, after a medical emergency at a hotel in Boca Raton, according to TMZ. The outlet reported that the 26-year-old had been staying at the hotel for 10 days and suggested that his final Instagram post had led some fans to speculate about suicide.
However, POORSTACY’s cause of death has not been officially determined. The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner confirmed his passing but said the cause remains under investigation.
As news of his death spread, attention resurfaced around a 2023 domestic violence case, raising questions about whether the past allegations had any connection to his mental state or death.

According to TrapMetal, Coral Springs Police responded to a domestic violence call on May 3, 2023, where a woman reported that her boyfriend, Carlito Junior Milfort, had assaulted her and endangered both her infant and pets.
Police arrived to find the victim holding her one-month-old baby. She told officers the altercation began after she confronted Milfort over incriminating messages from other women. TrapMetal reports that Milfort allegedly reacted with violence, punching, slapping, and dragging her by the hair, before the dispute moved into the living room, where he continued damaging property, shouting threats, and escalating his aggression.
The woman said Milfort then threw the baby’s bassinet with the infant still inside. She managed to catch it before it hit the tile floor. Milfort also threw a hamster cage at her, causing scratches and bruises.
When officers attempted to arrest him, Milfort barricaded himself inside the residence before eventually surrendering.
POORSTACY was later released on a $6,000 bond, as per the outlet. As per a reddit user in January 2024, POORSTACY posted on Instagram that “All charges were dropped!” The rapper stayed largely inactive on social media afterward.
As of now, there is no confirmed link between the 2023 arrest and POORSTACY’s death. Authorities have not indicated that the earlier case is part of the current investigation, and the Medical Examiner has not released any findings suggesting a connection.
