The Central Board of Secondary Education has released guidelines and SOPs for the CBSE Board Exam 2026 practical exams. An official notice has been issued on the official website. Interested students can check the guidelines and SOPs by visiting the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. According to the official notice, practical exams for winter-bound schools will be held from November 6 to December 6, 2025, and for regular-session schools, from January 1 to February 14, 2026. Practical exams/projects/internal assessments for regular students sponsored through LOC in Classes 10 and 12 will be conducted based on the students' eligibility/bona fide status.

  • Then click on the relevant link.
  • The notice will open.
  • Now, check the issued guidelines and SOPs and download and print them.

  • The Board will not provide practical answer books for Class 10; schools will have to make their own arrangements.
  • No external examiner will be appointed for the Class 10 practical board exams. However, for Class 12 practical exams, CBSE will appoint an external examiner to conduct practical exams and project assessments in the specified subjects in each school.
  • For private students, marks for practical exams/projects/internal assessments will be awarded as per the Board's policy in accordance with the Examination By-Laws.
  • The Board has directed schools to upload practical exam marks simultaneously from the exam/assessment dates. While uploading marks, the school, internal examiner, and external examiner (as the case may be) will ensure that the correct marks are uploaded, as no corrections will be allowed once the marks are uploaded.
  • The marks obtained by students in the practical exams will not be disclosed to the students under any circumstances.
