The Staff Selection Commission has opened the application process for the SSC Constable GD Exam 2026. Candidates wishing to apply for the Constable (GD) position in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) position in the Assam Rifles, can apply by visiting the SSC's official website, ssc.gov.in. The deadline for applying for this recruitment exam is December 31, 2025. Interested candidates should apply by this date. The last date for online fee payment is January 1, 2026. The correction window for applications will open on January 8 and close on January 10, 2026.

Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100/-. Female candidates and candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) categories who are eligible for reservation are exempted from paying the fee. The fee can only be paid through online payment modes, i.e., BHIM UPI, net banking, or Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay debit cards.
Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of a Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Medical Examination, and Document Verification. The Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Review Medical Examination (RME), and Document Verification (DV) will be scheduled and conducted by the CAPFs.
