Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has undertaken large-scale structural reforms in the tourism department. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Tourism Services Rules-2025 have been implemented. With the implementation of the new rules, all the earlier rules, orders and guidelines have been cancelled.
According to the new rules, the posts of Tourism Subordinate Services Cadre - Publication Officer, Additional District Tourism Officer and Tourism Information Officer will now be filled through both direct recruitment and promotion.
Selection for Publication Officer will be done by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). The recruitment of Tourism Information Officer will be done through Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC). The government believes that this will make the recruitment process more transparent, faster and competitive.
The new rules also cover appointment, service conditions, promotion, qualification, seniority and other administrative provisions. Principal Secretary of Tourism Department, Amrit Abhijat said that the new rules will establish an organized, efficient and modern service structure in the department. This will not only increase administrative efficiency but will also give new impetus to tourism development in the state.
