Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has made a big announcement for the international medal winning players of the state. Now whenever they participate in national or international sports competitions, training camps or other sports activities, that entire period will be considered as 'duty'. This will also include commuting time.
Earlier there was no such clear provision in the 'International Medal Winner Direct Recruitment Rules-2022'. Due to lack of rules related to leave, players faced difficulty in getting permission every time. With the implementation of the new system, players will get more opportunities to progress in the game and the representation of the state will also become stronger.
