Mohanlal is set to team up once again with Thudarum director Tharun Moorthy for an upcoming film

The project, backed by Ashiq Usman Productions, is penned by Ratheesh Ravi, known for Pullikkaran Staraa, Ishq, and Adi.

Meanwhile, fans are speculating about Mohanlal's movie with director Austin Dan Thomas, titled L365.

Reports suggest that this project has been shelved due to dissatisfaction with its final draft.

However, it is also rumored that Moorthy has replaced Thomas as the director of his idol's new film.

It's worth noting that this is a completely different project from the one mentioned above.

Sources close to the team say the upcoming film will be a cop drama.

Although a project was unveiled in October during Thudarum's success meet, it is still unclear which film will begin production first.

Thudarum was a critical and commercial success, grossing over ₹200 crore worldwide, per Sacnilk.

Mohanlal will next be seen in Patriot, helmed by Mahesh Narayanan and featuring a star-studded cast including Mammootty, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, and Kunchacko Boban.

Meanwhile, his daughter Vismaya will reportedly make her acting debut in Jude Anthany Joseph's next film Thudakkam.
