Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his deep gratitude towards the brave soldiers of the Indian Army on the occasion of ‘Armed Forces Flag Day’. Issuing a message on social media platform X, the Prime Minister saluted the courage of the brave men and women deployed in the defense of the country.
PM Modi said in his message that the discipline and determination of our soldiers is the real strength of the country. He wrote that the dedication of the army is a strong example of duty and patriotism, which inspires every citizen.
The Prime Minister wrote in his post that we are grateful to those brave soldiers who protect our borders and nation with unwavering courage. Their morale and determination act as a protective shield for our people, thereby strengthening our nation.
Along with honoring the soldiers, the Prime Minister also made an important appeal to the countrymen. He encouraged citizens to contribute voluntarily to the ‘Armed Forces Flag Day Fund’. This fund is used for the welfare and rehabilitation of ex-servicemen, war widows and families of martyrs.
It is noteworthy that in India, Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated every year on 7 December since 1949. The main objective of this day is to remember the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the security of the country and to raise funds for the welfare of uniformed personnel.
