A big update has come out regarding the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2026). Consortium of National Law Universities has issued an important notice on 7th December. Answer key date has been announced. According to which the release of provisional answer key will be available on 10th. Candidates can check it from official website from 5:00 PM onwards. Along with the answer key, the link to the objection submission portal will also be activated. This facility will be available till 5:00 pm on 12th December. Candidates will be able to raise objections on the answer key. After reviewing which the final answer key will be prepared. The results will be based on this. No announcement regarding the result has been made yet. It is advised to keep visiting the official website regularly for updates.
The exam was conducted on December 7 in 156 centers located in 25 states, 93 cities and four union territories. 92,344 candidates had applied for the exam this year. An increase of up to 17% has been seen in applications compared to last year. 75,009 candidates had applied for the UG program and 17, 335 candidates had applied for the Post Graduate programme. 96.83% of graduate applications and 93.45% of PG candidates appeared in the examination. The number of PWD candidates was 548.
Candidates will be admitted in total 25 law universities. This includes institutions like NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, NLU Jodhpur, HNLU Raipur etc. The application process for the examination started from August 1.
