Shocking pictures have emerged from the Turkish Parliament. During the voting on the budget in Parliament, the MPs lost their temper and resorted to scuffle. Tension increased just before the vote on the 2026 budget in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM). CHP group deputy chairman Murat Amir got up and went to Mustafa Varank, MP from Bursa from Erdoğan's AK Party. The argument that started with the Amir approaching Varank soon turned into a scuffle. Its videos are rapidly going viral on social media.

There was commotion for 10 minutes

Minutes before voting on the 2026 budget, the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament (TBMM) became a battlefield. The debate that started between CHP's Murat Amir and AK Party's Mustafa Varank soon turned into a clash between all the AK Party and CHP MPs. The scuffle, which lasted for about 10 minutes, turned into a boxing-like situation and created huge chaos in the House. Considering the situation, TBMM President Numan Kurtulmush had to stop the proceedings.

Suddenly a scuffle started between the MPs and many MPs from both the parties were seen coming close to each other and scuffling. It became difficult to calm the tension. One particular picture that emerged during this clash attracted a lot of attention – MHP MPs surrounded their General Secretary Devlet Bahceli by building a wall around him.

There was a scuffle earlier too

This is not the first time that a scuffle has been seen in the Turkish Parliament. Such a picture has also emerged in the year 2024. In the year 2024, there was an uproar in the Turkish Parliament. There was a scuffle in Parliament on 17 August 2024. After a heated debate in Parliament, there was a scuffle between members of the ruling AKP party and opposition MPs. The reason for the controversy was the demand of the opposition MP to call his colleague in the House, who was in jail due to anti-government protests.

But despite being elected an MP is in prison. Workers' Party of Türkiye (TIP) member Ahmet Sik demanded the release of his colleague Can Atalay. It was seen in the video that MPs from the ruling AKP party were running to punch him. Dozens of people had joined the melee. Some were trying to stop others. After the fight, blood was seen scattered on the white stairs of Parliament.
