Another case of violence against Hindus has come to light in Bangladesh. After Dipu Chandra Das, now Amrit Mandal alias Samrat has been beaten to death by the mob. Amrit was 29 years old. The incident is from Rajbari district. Pangsha Model Police Station has confirmed this. Police said that local residents had accused Amrit Mandal of extortion, after which the matter turned into mob violence.
Amrit Mandal's name is recorded in the police records as the leader of the local gang. The name of the gang is 'Samrat Vahini'. The house of a Hindu family was set on fire on Tuesday in Raujan area near Chittagong. In the last one week, many houses of Hindu families have been set on fire in this area. Within 5 days, houses of seven Hindu families were burnt in Raujan area. Police have arrested five suspects so far.
Last week, 28-year-old Hindu factory worker Dipu Chandra Das was beaten to death by a mob in Mymensingh city. He was accused of blasphemy. After this incident, protests took place across the country. Interim government head Mohammad Yunus said that the government will take responsibility for the wife, young children and parents of the deceased. Police have so far arrested 12 people in this case.
