This is the reason why a large number of devotees come to take a dip of faith in Magh Mela. According to the scriptures, this provides relief from all troubles and attains salvation after death.
According to the Vedic calendar, this year the Amavasya Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Magh month will start from 12:03 AM on January 18. This date will end on January 19 at 01:21 pm. In such a situation, considering Udaya Tithi, this year Mauni Amavasya will be celebrated on Sunday, 18 January 2026. On this day, its sacred bath will be taken in Magh Mela.
On the day of Mauni Amavasya, Brahma Muhurta will start at 05.27 am. This auspicious time will last till 06:21 pm. On the day of Mauni Amavasya, go and take bath in Ganga or Sangam during Brahma Muhurta. Because this time is considered best for bathing.
