Delhi Metro transports lakhs of passengers every day to their destination. People from all walks of life travel here from morning till night. Be it a student or an employee, a businessman or even a tourist, there are some people among this crowd who try to take advantage of the helplessness and emotions of others and now this has become a new method of scam. Recently, a video going viral on social media has exposed this truth.

This video surfaced on Insta, in which a man wearing a suit is seen near the metro station. Seeing his mannerisms and attire, anyone might consider him to be an educated and civilized person, but in reality he was fabricating a story to ask for money from people. He stops passengers on the road and tells them that his metro card or online balance has been exhausted and he has to go to Patel Nagar. He describes himself as a student preparing for UPSC so that the person in front can trust him.

What did the boy say?

It is shown in the video that at first he talks very politely. He says that he just needs 50 or 100 rupees so that he can travel further. Many times people get emotional after seeing such requests and decide to help. After all, no one wants to be left hungry or helpless, but as soon as the other person starts asking questions, his story starts changing. A young man tells him that you are standing outside the station, go out and eat something or solve your problem yourself. On this the man immediately says that he needs money for food because he has nothing and his online balance will come only till the next day.

Initially he asks for Rs 50, but within a few moments he increases the amount to Rs 150. This change in itself creates doubt. When he is asked how much money is required, he is not able to give a clear answer. The person in front says that he has only Rs 50 and no change. Despite this, the man remains adamant on his demand, which raises questions about his intentions. Someone recorded this entire conversation on camera and later posted it on social media.

This video which went viral on social media is like a warning to the people. This shows that not every person asking for help is necessarily telling the truth. This does not mean that we should not help anyone, but it means that we should take decisions wisely.
