Ingredients of Revdi Fusion Sweets

remaining herds

Copra (Coconut) 2 tbsp

Chopped dry fruits 2 tbsp

Butter – 1 tsp

Honey or cream – 1 tbsp

some grated chocolate

Fusion Dessert Recipe

First of all, lightly break the remaining Revadis or grind them coarsely in the mixer. Keep in mind that Revdi should not be completely powder, there should be some crunch. Now heat butter in a pan and add copra to it and fry it lightly. Now add ground Revadi to it and fry lightly for 2-3 minutes on low flame. This enhances the taste of Revdi even more. After this add dry fruits and honey or cream to it. If children like chocolate, they can also add some grated chocolate. Mix everything well and prepare a thick mixture.

Method of serving and presentation

After the mixture is ready, pour it into small bowls or spoons. If you want, you can cool it slightly and make it in shapes like rolls or cutlets. Garnish by adding some more dry fruits or chocolate strips on top and serve.

Why is Lohri celebrated?

Lohri is a traditional Punjabi and North Indian festival, celebrated primarily to celebrate the prosperity of the fields and the harvest. It falls a day before Makar Sankranti i.e. in the month of January and is considered to symbolize the end of the cold season. The biggest purpose of Lohri is to thank the Sun and seek blessings for the next harvest. People gather around the fire on this day, put turmeric, sesame seeds, peanuts, and rewari around it and dance and sing along with songs and music. Also wish for happiness, prosperity and good fortune.
