AR Rahman on Ramayana Movie: Ever since Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana' was announced, everyone is eagerly waiting for its release. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey are also going to be seen in this mega budget film. The most special thing about 'Ramayana' is that AR Rahman has collaborated with Hans Zimmer for the music of this film. Recently AR Rahman spoke openly about this collaboration.

Well-known singer and composer AR Rahman shared his experience of working on the Ramayana album in a recent interview. Despite being a Muslim himself, he expressed his opinion on giving music for a film based on Hindu Purana. Also, AR Rahman told how much he respects new ideas and values.

“I studied in a Brahmin school”

Speaking to BBC, AR Rahman said, "I studied in a Brahmin school, so Ramayana and Mahabharata were taught there every year, so I knew the story very well. The story of this film is about a good person, his character, high ideals and values. People can debate on this, but I give importance to all these good things, from which I got to learn something."

“I am Muslim and Ramayan is Hindu”

Apart from this, AR Rahman requested people to think big and said, "I think we should rise above small thinking and selfishness. When we rise, we become shining and this is very important. Hans Zimmer is Jewish, I am Muslim and Ramayana is Hindu. This is coming from India to the whole world with love."

AR Rahman also said that we should learn good things from everything. The Prophet has also said that knowledge is very valuable, it does not matter from where you are learning it, whether it is a beggar, a king, a leader or whether someone's actions are wrong or good. Knowledge is something that cannot be valued. We should learn from everywhere.
