Mouni Roy Calls out Harassment at Event: TV and Bollywood actress Mouni Roy is often in the news due to her social media posts or her looks. Once again the actress has come into the headlines, but this time the reason is not her looks, but an incident that happened to her. Recently, Mouni Roy shared a story on her social media and told about a very disturbing experience she had during a recent event in Haryana. Mouni Roy said that the event which was meant for celebration, became such a moment that shook her from within.
While talking about an incident that happened at a recent event in Karnal, Haryana on Instagram Stories, Mouni Roy has alleged that she was harassed by an old man present in the audience. Mouni shared that when she was going towards the stage, many men touched her waist on the pretext of taking photos. The actress expressed her anger by talking openly about this.
Mouni Roy shared a long note on Instagram Stories, in which she told how people in the audience misbehaved with her. The actress wrote, "Last week there was an event in Karnal and I am very upset with the behavior of the guests present there, especially two uncles who are of the age of becoming grandparents. As soon as the event started and I moved towards the stage, uncle and family members (all men) put their hands on my waist to click photos. I did not like it, when I said "Sir, please remove your hands". It was even worse on the stage. "

Mouni further wrote, "Two uncles were standing right in front and making dirty comments, making dirty gestures, calling me by name. I realized this and at first I gently signaled them not to do so, on which they started throwing roses at me. Then in the middle of the performance, I started leaving the stage, but immediately came back and completed my performance. Even after this, they did not stop, nor did anyone from the organizer remove them from the front. If If a girl like me has to face all this, I am feeling insulted and shocked that we are artists who are earning their living honestly from our art. What will these men do? Shame on you guys.”
Further in the story, Mouni wrote, "It is also important to mention that the stage was at a height and this uncle was making a video from below. When someone asked him to stop, he used abusive language. I love my country, my people, my traditions but this? How much courage do they have, the pride of being a man. I never post any negative thing that happens to me. But this, I have no words. I have no expression or abuse for this behaviour." Don't understand. We actors go to these events to congratulate the bride and groom and they harass us like this.
