There is an uproar over the UGC (University Grants Commission) Promotion of Equity in Higher Education Institutions Regulations-2026. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has also opposed it. She said, I oppose the new guidelines of UGC. To remove inequality you are creating more inequality. Looking at the guidelines, it seems that you have assumed that there is only one class that is oppressed and only one class that is the oppressor.

Priyanka said, it seems that you have already accepted that a section is guilty. I am in favor of social justice and equality. We believe that injustice has been done to a section of society in history, but what will happen if false allegations are made? Children's educational career will be ruined. Which committee will there be? Who will decide what is right and what is wrong? Why is this committee not inclusive? The government should take it back and fix it. Law is for everyone. This guideline is against the natural rules of justice.

Government is not against anyone: Sangwan

RLD leader Rajkumar Sangwan has also reacted on this. He said that the government will consider this and no one's interest will be disregarded. The government is not against anyone. The government will listen to everyone. On the other hand, Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad said that the government made UGC guidelines when it came to light that the crime rate has increased. What is happening even today is a matter of shame. I raised this matter in the all-party meeting.

The protest that is taking place is political: Chandrashekhar

He said that the opposition being faced is political. This may be being done to divert attention from some matter. Those who are protesting did not read the guidelines. If it was wrong then other parties would also have raised their voice. The one who considers it his right to commit crimes is afraid. The officer who resigned may have intended to contest elections.
