The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken an important decision regarding the rehabilitation of Hindu Bengali families displaced from East Pakistan (present-day Bangladesh) and living in the state. In the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Yogi Adityanath, the proposal for rehabilitation on this matter related to Meerut district was approved.
According to the information received, this matter Uttar Pradesh It is of Mawana tehsil of Meerut district. In village Nangla Gosai of Mawana tehsil, 99 Hindu Bengali families displaced from East Pakistan were living illegally on the lake land for a long time.
In the cabinet meeting under the leadership of CM Yogi, the proposal to rehabilitate all these 99 families was approved. It was decided to rehabilitate all these 99 Bengali families in Rasulabad tehsil of Kanpur Dehat district.
Under this decision, 50 families will be rehabilitated on 11.1375 hectares (27.5097 acres) of Rehabilitation Department's land in village Bhainsaya, while the remaining 49 families will be rehabilitated on 10.530 hectares (26.009 acres) of Rehabilitation Department's land in village Tajpur Tarsauli.
According to the cabinet meeting, every family will be allotted 0.50 acre land. This land will be given as a 30 year lease on premium or lease rent. There is a provision to renew it for 30 years.
It has been said in the decision that the maximum period of land lease given to Bengali families will be 90 years. This decision will provide great relief to the displaced families along with environmental protection.
With this decision, Bengali families will get respectable and safe rehabilitation. At the same time, these families who have been living temporarily for a long time will get a permanent residence and will also get security for the future.
