PAK vs AUS 1st T20I: The first match of the T20 series between the teams of Pakistan and Australia was played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first. However, despite a strong start, the team did not put a big score on the board. The entire Pakistan team could score only 168 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. The biggest reason for which was the slow innings of star batsmen, in which Babar Azam was also included.

Pakistan got an explosive start

Pakistan's innings had a bad start when Sahibzada Farhan was out on the very first ball. But Sam Ayub and captain Salman Aga made a quick partnership of 74 runs for the second wicket, during which both the players added more than 50 runs in the powerplay. Sam Ayub added 40 runs in 22 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Whereas, Salman Agha scored 39 runs in 27 balls. But after his dismissal the team's innings faltered.

Babar Azam again played a slow innings

On the other hand, Babar Azam, who is returning to the T20 team, came to bat at number 4, but his innings was once again slow. Babar scored 24 runs in 20 balls, during which he hit one four and one six. At the same time, the strike rate was 120, which is quite low as per T20 cricket. He became the victim of Adam Zampa, who dismissed Babar LBW. Recently, Babar Azam has played in the Big Bash League, there too his slow innings were surrounded by a lot of questions. But nothing changed in Pakistan too, and they failed to score runs at a fast pace.

Even Fakhar Zaman's bat did not fly

Pakistan's explosive batsman Fakhar Zaman also could not do anything special. He was out after scoring 10 runs in 16 balls. His innings included only 1 four. Usman Khan could also score only 18 runs facing 14 balls. Apart from these, Mohammad Nawaz also scored 15 runs in 14 balls. Which is an alarm bell for Pakistan before the T20 World Cup 2026. In the last overs, no batsman could score runs at a fast pace, which is a big tension for the team.
