Xiaomi: is preparing to take a notable step into the virtual motorsport world as its flagship electric sedan, the SU7 Ultra, is confirmed for inclusion in Gran Turismo 7. The vehicle will become available with the game’s Version 1.67 update, scheduled for January 29, 2026, and will be playable across both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms. This marks the first time a Xiaomi-branded car has appeared in Sony’s long-running racing simulation series.

Gran Turismo has built its reputation on detailed realism and a carefully curated car roster, often favoring established automotive brands with long performance histories. Xiaomi’s inclusion signals a shift that reflects the changing landscape of high-performance vehicles, particularly in the electric segment. The SU7 Ultra will share digital track space with some of the most respected performance cars ever produced, underscoring the growing credibility of Xiaomi’s electric vehicle program.
The partnership between Xiaomi and Polyphony Digital was first announced in mid-2025, but work on the in-game model extended far beyond standard data sharing. Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi personally tested the SU7 Ultra on multiple circuits, including the demanding Nürburgring Nordschleife and Japan’s Tsukuba Circuit.
To refine accuracy, Xiaomi’s vehicle dynamics engineers traveled to Polyphony Digital’s studio in Fukuoka. Together, the teams adjusted the virtual car’s steering response, braking behavior, and power delivery. The goal was to ensure that the digital SU7 Ultra reflects the character and performance balance of its real-world counterpart as closely as possible.
At the core of the SU7 Ultra is Xiaomi’s in-house Hyper Tri-Motor system. The setup combines two V8s electric motors with a single V6s motor, delivering a combined output of 1,548 brake horsepower and 1,770 Newton-meters of torque. Built on an 800-volt electrical architecture, the sedan accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 1.98 seconds.
Charging performance is equally aggressive. Under optimal conditions, the battery can be replenished from 10 to 80 percent capacity in approximately 11 minutes. The chassis is designed to support both track-focused driving and daily usability, featuring a double-wishbone front suspension, a five-link rear arrangement, adaptive dampers, and air springs.
The SU7 Ultra’s credentials extend beyond specifications. In April 2025, a production-spec version fitted with the optional Track Package completed a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes and 4.957 seconds. This time established a new benchmark for electric executive sedans, reinforcing the car’s performance claims on one of the most challenging circuits in the world.
To celebrate the SU7 Ultra’s arrival in Gran Turismo 7, Polyphony Digital will organize a global lap-time challenge at Italy’s Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The two-week event will allow players worldwide to compete using the same vehicle, offering a direct comparison of driving skill across regions and platforms.
The virtual debut follows the SU7 Ultra’s physical showcases in markets such as Japan, Germany, Spain, and Singapore. Its addition to Gran Turismo 7 highlights Xiaomi EV’s intention to build global recognition not only through sales, but also through cultural and technological touchpoints familiar to automotive enthusiasts.
By entering one of gaming’s most respected racing franchises, Xiaomi positions the SU7 Ultra as both a serious performance machine and a symbol of the company’s broader ambitions in the electric vehicle sector.
