The name of this film is 'Suyamvaram'. In fact, the story of the film was woven in such a way that 14 different directors were given their segments. 14 directors, 19 cinematographers and more than 30 popular actors worked together in this picture. The film 'Suyamvaram' was later dubbed in Telugu with the name Pellante Idhera.
The names of the 14 directors who worked together in this film are- J. Cheese, AR. Ramesh, Keyar, E. Ramdas, Arjun, Guru Dhanapal, Liaqat Ali Khan, R. Sundararajan, Selva, K. Subhash, Sundar C. Siraj, K.S. Ravikumar and P. Vasu. Producer Giridharilal Nagpal had dreamed of making this film 14 years ago, which was completed in 1999.
In fact, the world was surprised when this entire film was shot, dubbed and edited in a record time of just 23 hours and 58 minutes. However, due to the changes that happened earlier, the film got delayed and actors like Vijayakanth, Murali, Prashant and Prakash Raj parted ways from the film. The launch event of the film was held in the same month on 24 January 1999. In which actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan participated. The special thing about this film is that not only 14 directors were seen together. Rather, 19 associate directors, 45 assistant directors, 19 cameramen and 36 assistant cameramen worked on the production. Even 9 Steadicam operators, 14 lead actors, 12 lead actresses, villain, comedian, five dance masters were also included. There was also a large team of 140 chorus dancers, 16 assistants, stunt coordinators and technicians. Overall, 1,483 extra people were involved to complete the film. Actually, the preparation for this film was done a month in advance, but there was no script till the end. As soon as the directors would give a scene to the actors, they would shoot it after rehearsing for some time. There was also a plan to make a Hindi remake of this film, but ultimately the producer dropped this plan.
