KC Tyagi, a veteran leader of Janata Dal United, has joined Jayant Chaudhary Rashtriya Lok Dal party today. He has been included in the party under the chairmanship of party president Jayant Chaudhary. Recently KC Tyagi had resigned from Janata Dal United. At that time he had described the lack of communication and expansion in JDU.

After joining Rashtriya Lok Dal Party, KC Tyagi said that I have been a member of both the houses, now I have not come to become MP/MLA. I have come to see Jayant Choudhary becoming like Charan Singh. I wish that a day comes when Jayant Choudhary gets nominated as the PM of the country. Like what happened to Morarji at the hands of Chaudhary Charan Singh.

KC Tyagi further said that the party of Muslims is also Rashtriya Lok Dal. In independent India, no one else has made as many Muslim MPs in Uttar Pradesh as Charan Singh did. I will use my remaining time and experience in strengthening Jayant. He clarified that he has not joined RLD for any post.

Jayant Chaudhary had invited to join the party

Regarding Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, KC Tyagi said that by 2027, RLD should progress so much that Jayant Chaudhary will decide who will become the Chief Minister of UP. After resigning from JDU, Rashtriya Lok Dal i.e. RLD had invited KC Tyagi to join the party. After this, it was believed that Tyagi can now take his political journey forward with RLD.

Tyagi became MP for the first time in 1989

KC Tyagi's full name is Kishan Chand Tyagi. He is originally from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He entered politics in the 1970s. In his political journey of nearly 50 years, he registered his strong presence. He became MP for the first time in 1989 by defeating Congress's Budh Priya Maurya from Hapur Lok Sabha seat by 33,254 votes. He was considered close to Nitish Kumar.
