During the Ram Navami procession in Raghunathganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, clashes broke out between two communities at three different places. A historic moment is going to be recorded today in Jewar of Gautam Buddha Nagar. After a long wait of about 24 years, Noida International Airport is going to be inaugurated. The country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this ambitious project today. While Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present on the occasion, this airport is being considered a big achievement not only for Uttar Pradesh but for the entire country.

How the dream of 24 years of journey came true

Noida International Airport was dreamed up nearly two decades ago but the project kept getting delayed due to land acquisition, environmental clearance and policy reactions. Ultimately, the project gained momentum in the last few years and the first phase was completed at a cost of approximately Rs 11,200 crore. This airport has been developed on Public Private Partnership i.e. PPP model. It is being counted among the largest green field airports in Asia.

The time of Prime Minister's program also came out

The country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Jewar at 11:30 am. Before this, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Gautam Buddha Nagar, MLAs, MPs and a large number of workers from nearby districts will also reach the venue. First of all the Prime Minister of the country will inspect the terminal building of the airport. After this, the first phase of the airport will be formally inaugurated at around 12:00 noon. After the inauguration, the Prime Minister will also address a huge public meeting. Around two lakh people are likely to participate in it. Along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, many central ministers, state government ministers and local public representatives will also be present in this program.

Which leaders will be included?

Many big faces of the central and state government will participate in this grand program. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Civil Aviation Minister, senior ministers of Uttar Pradesh Government, MPs, MLAs and local public representatives, apart from this, many industrialists and investors can also participate in this program because this airport is directly linked to the economic development of the area.

What is the main feature of the airport?

Noida International Airport was built according to modern technology and global standards. Initially a capacity of 12 million passengers, which will be further increased to 70 million. 3900 meter long runway where even big planes can land. There will also be facility of more navigation system and 24 hours operation. Multi-modal connectivity, direct connectivity with road, rail and metro and especially cargo hub facilities are also available. This will boost trade and the airport has been built with completely eco-friendly design and energy efficient systems.

Strict security arrangements, entire area declared red zone

In view of the Prime Minister's visit, tight security arrangements have been made and the entire area has been declared a red zone. Many agencies have been deployed in security such as SPG, CIF, PSC, RF, ATS, apart from this about 5000 police personnel have been deployed. Barricading checking and drone monitoring is being done at various places. Apart from this, anti-drone system has also been activated so that any suspicious activity can be immediately monitored. A control room has also been made to monitor the entire area through 3000 CCTV cameras.

Special arrangements for traffic and parking

In view of the huge crowd in the program, a traffic plan has also been implemented. 15 different places have been created for parking of about 20 thousand vehicles. Different routes have been set for people coming from different districts and cities so that there is no traffic jam. Separate entry and parking arrangements have been made for the general public, VIP and media.

What will be the facilities for the passengers?

The airport has been designed keeping in mind the convenience of passengers. Modern terminal building, digital check-in and smart security system, food court, retail store, comfortable waiting area, special facilities for disabled people and along with this, both domestic and international flights are expected to start from here in the first phase itself. So far, flights have been scheduled for 12 cities by the airport management. But later it will be developed in five phases.

NCR and Uttar Pradesh will get big benefits

Noida International Airport will prove to be a game changer for the NCR region. This will reduce the pressure on Delhi Airport and will give new impetus to the industrial development of Uttar Pradesh. With this, new employment opportunities will be created. Investment will increase in the area, infrastructure will develop rapidly in Jewar and surrounding areas.
