
During the inauguration of Noida International Airport in Jewar today, PM Modi said that earlier SP people had made Noida an ATM of their loot. But today, under the BJP government, the same Noida is becoming a powerful engine of development in UP. PM Modi said that Noida was earlier left to its fate due to superstition, the earlier rulers were afraid of coming here for fear of losing their power.
PM Modi said that I remember, when there was SP government here and I made a program to come to Noida, the Chief Minister was so scared that he did not come to that program. He said that an attempt was made to scare me also, it was said, do not go to Noida, Modi ji has just become the Prime Minister. I said that I am going to seek the blessings of that land, which will give me an opportunity to serve for a long time. He said that today the same area is ready to welcome the whole world. This entire area is strengthening the resolve of self-reliant India.
PM Modi said that airport is not just a common facility in any country. These airports also give flight to progress. Before 2014, there were only 74 airports in the country, today there are more than 160 airports. He said that now apart from the metros, air connectivity is also reaching small towns of the country. The PM said that earlier governments believed that air travel should be only for the rich, but the BJP government has made air travel easy for ordinary Indians also.
PM Modi said that 140 crore countrymen should work hard and face the global crisis unitedly. We have to face this crisis together with a calm mind, patience and unity. This is a crisis creating trouble all over the world, we have to worry about our country the most and this is the biggest strength of us Indians. PM Modi said that I want to urge all the political parties of UP and the country to avoid saying such things which are harmful for the country at the time of such crisis. Whatever is in the interest of India and Indians, that is the strategy of the Government of India.
