Let us know the mythological story of Hanuman Jayanti, reading which is considered auspicious on this day.
According to mythology, Anjana was an Apsara, who due to a curse had to be born on earth in the form of a monkey. To get freedom from this curse, he performed severe penance to Lord Shiva. Pleased with his devotion, Lord Shiva gave him the boon of having a son. At the time when Mother Anjana was doing penance, at the same time King Dasharatha of Ayodhya was performing Putreshti Yagya with his wives. Agnidev, obtained from the Yagya, had given the divine kheer as prasad to King Dasharatha.
It is believed that a bird (eagle) flew away with a part of that Prasad and with the help of Pawan Dev, it fell into the hands of Mother Anjana. Mother Anjana accepted it considering it as Prasad of Shiva. Due to this effect, Kesari Nandan Hanuman ji was born on the day of Chaitra Purnima. Since Pawan Dev had delivered this Prasad to Mother Anjana, hence Hanuman ji is also called Pawanputra.
This story related to Hanuman ji's childhood is the most popular. Once in childhood, Hanuman ji was very hungry. Seeing the red sun shining in the sky, they thought it was a sweet fruit and flew to eat it. When they were about to swallow the sun, Lord Indra struck them with his thunderbolt to stop them.
Hanuman ji fell unconscious due to the strike of the thunderbolt. Angered by this, Pawan Dev stopped the air of the entire universe. To protect the universe, all the gods together brought Hanuman ji to his senses and gave him their respective powers. Lord Brahma blessed him with long life and invincibility, due to which he was called Bajrangbali.
Reading the fast story on the day of Hanuman Jayanti not only increases self-confidence but also gives relief from Shani Dosh and Mangal Dosh. All troubles are eliminated, according to Sumirai Hanumat Balbeera, by meditating with devotion on Bajrangbali on this day, the fear of untimely death also ends.
