Didn't see height, religion or appearance... Unique love story of a beautiful Muslim bride who married a tiny groom.

I'm a muslim. These are Hindus. We loved each other since 9th class and now we are married. But now my family members have become the enemies of our love… This is what a Muslim girl has to say, who broke the shackles of society's taunts, height difference and religion and married a young man much younger than her, Vemula Sashi. This marriage is currently a topic of discussion from social media to the streets.

The matter is of Rajupeta in Andhra Pradesh. The beginning of this love story is no less than a film script. The girl, who belonged to the Muslim community, and Vemula Sashi met in school. The friendship between them started when both of them were in 9th class. The girl says- I had given my heart to him in the 9th class itself. With time this friendship transformed into deep love. Shashi is very short in height. But for the girl, his nature and mutual unwavering trust proved to be greater than every physical appearance in the world. The girl said- I neither saw his height, nor his religion, nor his appearance. Just got impressed by their nature.

When religion and society become enemies

The deeper the love, the more difficult the path. There were two big walls in front of this relationship - first, the narrow mindedness of the society which weighs physical appearance, and second, different religions. The girl's family and relatives strongly opposed this relationship. It was impossible for them to accept a short young man from another religion as a son-in-law for their beautiful daughter.

The couple reached the police station, asked for protection

Shashi is currently a contract employee in the District Court and the girl is self-reliant by working in a medical store. When pressure from family members increased and their lives were in danger, the couple did not lose courage. Both of them took shelter at Inukudurupeta police station and pleaded for their safety. They made it clear to the police that no matter what happens, they will not leave each other.

This unique marriage is a strong message for those who measure love only in terms of external beauty or height. This couple proved that every wall in the world becomes small in front of strong intentions.
